Abstract
A new design of hardware implementation for a multi-amplitude continuous phase modulation (MACPM) system is proposed. The MACPM is based on the novel theory developed for the transmitter-receiver system operating in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. A Viterbi decoder is used for the demodulation of the bit sequences of the transmitted messages, as well as for the estimation of the initial phase of the carrier at the beginning of the demodulation process
