Mind the red thread! 3D metaphors for cultural heritage visualization

In cultural heritage, the current shift toward semantic encoding opens the way to interfaces that provide a visual representation of the complex relations among heritage artifacts. In this paper we describe Labyrinth 3D, a virtual environment where the user can navigate the semantic relations among the items contained in a repository of artworks.
