Abstract :
This paper presents a real-life case-based investigation of current digital and media art conservation practices in public collections. Theoretical, methodological and practical issues associated with documentation, access, function, context and meaning of digital art are discussed, and reflections on authenticity and longevity for digital art are proposed towards a new interdisciplinary theoretical framework.
