Abstract :
Treats the synthesis of the optimal filter structure with minimum L2-sensitivity in two-dimensional (2-D) digital filters. After defining a usual L2-sensitivity measure for 2-D state-space digital filters, a novel expression is developed for evaluating the L2-sensitivity. An iterative procedure is then presented for obtaining the optimal block-diagonal coordinate transformation matrix that minimizes the L2-sensitivity measure. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the utility of the proposed technique
