Abstract :
This paper proposes an adaptation of the Instantaneous Power Theory for systems comprised by two phases and neutral derived from three-phase four-wire grids. This adaptation is useful for power conditioning applications of two-phase three-wire loads, such as residential installations. The interpretation of instantaneous powers according to the proposed adaptation is also presented. As an application example, the adapted instantaneous powers are used to control a two-phase three-wire shunt active filter. Simulation results are also presented to confirm the effectiveness of described concepts.
