Abstract :
This paper investigates the stability based on Lyapunov functions with application to power converters affected by slowly or arbitrarily fast time-varying parameters. The limitations of the stability based on exhaustive pole evaluations, a commonly used approach in power electronics, are discussed, and the advantages of the stability analysis by means of Lyapunov functions are shown.
