Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of the modulation strategies of bidirectional switches used in modular multilevel matrix converters, making use of a simplified and dynamic method for understanding its operation. Initially, a review is made on the operation of Multi-Modular Matrix Converter to analyze and simplify the control of the converter switches. Then the study of the applied modulation is done and also a simulation using pertinent software is provided and implemented in a Xilinx Zynq®-7000 FPGA to analyze it actual operation and check the possibility of power factor improvement by changing the current sectors.
