Abstract :
This paper proposes the development of a solar simulator in the parameterization of photovoltaic (PV) modules, employing Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as a light source, with its wavelength very similar to the Sun spectrum. The whole system was built with five types of LEDs, with different wavelengths, in order to emulate the sun spectrum absorbed by silicon PV cells. The LEDs can be activated independently, as well as its intensity, making it possible to create different irradiance profiles. The experimental results showed good approximation between the standard I×V curve and the solar simulator curve.
