Abstract :
Recently, mobile nodes (shortly, nodes) used by users are capable of establishing concurrently cellular (3G/LTE) and short range ad hoc connections have become popular. A vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) consists of vehicles which are equipped with these nodes and they communicate with each other by multi-hop communication. In this paper, we propose an information dissemination scheme based on the autonomous clustering and P2P network to disseminate the information message in the VANET environment. The autonomous clustering is a scheme to divide the network into multiple clusters and manage all nodes in the network. In each cluster, one cluster head that manages the cluster is selected. The proposed information dissemination scheme disseminates the information messages efficiently by combing the short range ad hoc connection of each node and the cellular connection of the cluster heads in the P2P network. In addition, we evaluate the proposed scheme through simulation experiments and confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
