  • Abstract
Moving net recovery is an effective solution for recycling the fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on naval vessels. Allowing for the maneuver of recovery net with vessel and the dynamic characteristics of UAV, this paper uses the proportional navigation (PN) law for reference, which can track and intercept maneuvering target, to design the scheme for the net recovery. In this paper, an open loop PN law is designed and the corresponding relationship between line-of-sight (LOS) rate and control surface on the longitudinal and lateral direction is derived respectively. The performance on tracking maneuvering target between Skid-To-Turn (STT) method and Bank-To-Turn (BTT) method are comparatively analyzed. Finally, the net recovery tests are accomplished using the demonstrating UAV, which indicates that BTT method has better mobility on tracking maneuvering target.
