  • Abstract
    A novel approach towards a nano-switch is proposed. The Yukawa interaction allows signal transmission through confined states of nanometric quantum dots. The switching time, which is controlled by another dot locally excited/de-excited, is estimated to be in the sub-nanosecond region.
