Abstract :
A pump scheme for a practical Ar/sub 2/ excimer laser operating at 126 nm is investigated. In this scheme, pre-ionized high-pressure Ar gas was excited by intense CO/sub 2/ laser radiation, and obtained the emission from Ar/sub 2/ excimers is obtained experimentally.
