Abstract :
This study assesses public exposure from radiofrequency radiation (RFR) emitted by HAOA-0709/1827-N-2/5 antennas at a tertiary hospital. Power density levels were measured from eleven antennas, all of which are located at the ground floor of the hospital. A measurement height of 1.5 meters from the ground was kept constant for all locations, in accordance with the measurement protocol of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Results from the measurements directly under the antenna were then compared to the exposure limits set by ICNIRP, the highest being 0.0119% of the specified limit. Measurements were also taken for varying distances, where was noted that one of the highest (0.0114% of the limit) was obtained at a horizontal distance of 3.5 meters from the antenna. In addition, time analysis results indicate that the highest deviation between the power density measurements at the 360th second interval and at the 190th second interval was 0.84%, with the highest error at 4.23%. This shows that the measurement time for power density levels on the HAOA-0709/1827-N-2/5 picocell antenna can be reduced to 190 seconds with reliable results.
