            Abstract : 
A microstrip antenna has been developed for being integrated into a television (TV) set for digital television (DTV) reception. The proposed antenna is a meander line antenna printed on an FR-4 substrate. It has a compact size, low-profile, and light weight. The antenna has a broad bandwidth in the UHF band allocated for DTV broadcast in Thailand. A prototype antenna was built and installed as a built-in antenna in an LED television which is relatively thin and thus suitable for wallmounted installation. A television with a built-in antenna does not requires an external antenna thus providing low-profile design and the ease of installation. This work can lead to an innovation in the television and antenna industries in the future.
