Abstract :
This research presents fabrication of an electromagnetic (EM) absorber made by natural rubber. The proposed absorber in the research is mainly made from natural rubber with carbon black filler for absorbing an EM wave so that it is in the form of rubber foam which provides suitable characteristics to be served as an EM absorber. The results of this research are chemical formulas for fabrications of rubber foam with carbon black filler. In order to study the effect of interested parameters, The natural rubber foams are fabricated. The reflectivity and transmissivity are measured. The knowledge obtained from this work will be very useful for extension to pyramidal absorber shape.
