Abstract :
With the development and maturity of infrared image, it is widely applied in the field of medical field. For this study, the infrared image of knee joint is mainly concern. When the doctors examine illness by infrared image, in addition to the observation the image directly, they often need to use the means of computer image processing to analyze the image. In addition, it is very difficult to avoid the interference of external factors in the process of collecting infrared image, which can form variety thermal noise. So the infrared image noise reduction processing is very necessary. But the image is still in a relatively narrow range after the noise reduction, so using image enhancement algorithm to deal with the infrared image is necessary. Through the comparison analysis, it is found that the weighted histogram equalization algorithm in the enhancement of image contrast, which can not only retains the shape and trend of the original gray histogram, but also retains image details to a large extent. After image noise reduction and image enhancement, the foundation for the subsequent processing is laid.
