Abstract
This paper investigates the technique of network access switch between host-gigabit-Ethernet-switch and backup-gigabit-Ethernet-switch, and proposes an automatic, security, stable and high reliability switching method adopting high-frequency relays. The new method uses the following strategy. If the host-gigabit-Ethernet-switch works properly, the automatic network switcher is powered off, the automatic network switcher is directly connected with the host-gigabit-Ethernet-switch since the high-frequency relays works in the closed state, thus this condition is normal state and has very high reliability; while the host-Ethernet-switch works improperly, the remote-network switcher-control-terminal detects the switching state between the host-Ethernet-switch and the backup-Ethernet-switch, then it makes the automatic network switcher powered on through LAN, and controls the automatic network switcher to complete switching operation with the high-frequency relays working in the open state, so the automatic network switcher will be connected with the backup-gigabit-Ethernet-switch. Adopting such strategy, we have developed a prototype automatic network switcher of gigabit-Ethernet-switches, and test results show that the proposed automatic network switcher has achieved very good performance. The proposed scheme can be widely used in high reliability communication network.
