Abstract :
A thin, lightweight, low volume occupation underwater sound projector has been designed and fabricated using cymbal flextensional drivers for use on unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV). The projector is less than 64 mm thick and can produce sound levels in excess of 180 dB over the frequency range of 4.5 kHz to >100 kHz
