  • Abstract
    This paper presents a scheme of smart networked calibration system, which consists of 3 parts, odometer system equipped in each car, calibration spots scattered in city and management center, which can communicate via 3G network. The management center sends warning message to each expiring car´s odometer and car owner´s mobile phone. The car can choose the most convenient spot for calibration just by passing through a segment of road as usual. A calibration spot contain 3 sections, entrance, calibrated distance and exit. The entrance detects each car passes. If the car requiring or needing calibration is recognized, the entrance will notify the exit via 3G. When car under calibration pass the exit, the calibrating data is sent to odometer via RF. Meanwhile a message will be sent to the management center also via 3G.
