  • Abstract
The Remotely Operated Platform for Ocean Science (ROPOS), a 5000 meter system operated by the Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility (CSSF), is one of the leading scientific ROVs in the world. The Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility has, over many years of operating ROPOS, developed techniques and procedures for the precise deployment and recovery of large, heavy equipment packages to and from the sea floor. These capabilities greatly enhance the service we can offer to our clients, and increase the efficiency of the overall operation. This presentation highlights the advantages of precise equipment placement and heavy lift capability
