Abstract
This paper presents a fully integrated multi-rate and multi-regional frequency shift keying (MR-FSK) transceiver compliant with IEEE 802.15.4g standard for Smart Metering Utility Networks (SUN). The total chip die area is 246.76 × 246.76 μm and the transceiver power consumption is 0.197319 mW. The architecture of this transceiver is depicted and resource estimations for ASIC and FPGA are presented, to assist the construction of SUN system and applications, such as advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
