Abstract :
Data acquisition in positron emission tomography (PET) with continuous bed motion (CBM) is more natural and flexible for whole body patient scan than conventional step and shoot mode. In this paper, we proposed a reconstruction method for CBM data that is able to accurately compensate gating effects on image quantification and uniformity by including gating signals into calculation of normalization array. The proposed method was validated with patient data.
