Abstract
We developed an open-source diagnostic tool with Graphical User Interface for the new “Digi-Opt12” 12-channel 14-bit 100MS/s digitizer cards of detectors AGATA, GALILEO and EUCLIDES. It allows on-the-fly check of card functionality, firmware uploading and inspection of all digitizer channels. The diagnostic tool comprises a simple Arduino-Uno based hardware, and software scripts developed in the open source development environments “Scilab”, “Arduino IDE” and “Processing IDE”. The GUI allows easy writing and reading of most digitizer parameters as well as reading 8 ksamples of digitized data out of each digitizer channel. The digitized waveforms and a few related statistical data can then be saved in the PC hard disk for off-line analysis.
