Abstract :
Renewable energy develops rapidly around the world. In China, to achieve fully use of renewable energy, the scale of cross-zone renewable electricity trading increases constantly. In addition, the difference between peak and base load increases year by year. As a result, the base-load cycling problem is getting worse. This problem imposes negative impacts on the utilization of renewable energy during the base-load period. To mitigate the base-load cycling problem, it is crucial that mutual relief of base-load cycling capability should be achieved among provinces in the import zone and good cycling characteristics of the cross-zone electricity trading curve provided by the export zone.
