Abstract
A reduced-voltage operation scheme of generator unit is proposed to relieve transmission congestion of 500 kV/ 220 kV power grids. First, the initial generator reconfiguration schemes are obtained according to voltage levels of generators connected to power grids and the matching degree between loads and generator capacity. Then, a comprehensive evaluation index is proposed by considering network loss, over-load rate, voltage deviation rate and static voltage margin. This index is used for the ranking of the above initial schemes. By V-1 analysis, the final scheme is determined. The case study on the eastern grid of Hunan province is used to validate the proposed method.
