  • Abstract
Access of wind farm will not only change the distribution of power flow but also have an impact on the power grid security and stability. With the proportion increase of wind farm capacity in power system, it is necessary to study power system stability containing a large number of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). In this paper, the mathematical model of wind turbine generator based on DFIG was established. Analysis and simulation of actual system containing DFIG had been completed, from the two aspects of reactive power change after wind farm acessed and the influence of wind speed on wind farm. At the same time, it has been analyzed that the influence of wind farm containing DFIG on power system stability when external AC power grid fault happened. Simulation results show that the wind power generator based on the double fed induction machine can make positive contribution for power system to return to the normal operation when fault happens.
