Abstract :
Through describe the principles and characteristics of EPON network, Proposed EPON communications network applying smart substation process level, and test the adaptability of protection under the EPON network. The paper has constructed smart substation relay protection dynamic simulation model test platform based on EPON network. Selecting 220kV smart substation busbar protection, transformer protection, line protection for test object, and analyzed the test results. The result shows that relay protection operation performance has not affected by the process layer by using EPON network. The research work can provide the basis for the smart substation layer applying EPON network and the subsequent technology Application.
