Fast calculation of available transfer capability incorporating uncertainty of wind generation

Wind power has brought about many uncertain factors to power system derived from intermittent and randomness of wind speed, which has impact on calculation of power system index such as ATC. In this paper, a probabilistic ATC calculation model containing doubly fed induction generator is proposed. Then, a fast ATC calculation method based on UT technique is proposed, which has proved to be efficient with a high accuracy, and it is convenient to deal with correlations among input variables. Finally, effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method are verified with test examples of IEEE-30 system.
