Energy policy and market space research in electricity of European commission

According to the EU´s energy strategy, the future EU will reduce the size of conventional fossil fuel generation capacity, gradually decommission nuclear power, and while vigorously develop renewable energy. However, the EU´s electricity load will continue to grow. Due to the randomness and intermittent of the output of renewables, and the consequent lower effective capacity, there are needs to accept external power. Based on the future forecasting of power load and power installed capacity change by Entso-E, market space of electricity of the European Union (EU) and Germany were estimated. The results gave preliminary judgment of market space of electricity for the intercontinental transmission vision between Asia and Europe.
