Abstract :
In this article a multi-band microstrip patch antenna is designed. The simulated results of frequency band, resonance frequency, radiation pattern and VSWR are investigated. Also effects of slots and radius of the ground plane on results are presented. The proposed antenna offers multi frequency bands of 160 MHz (2.99-3.15), 120 MHz (3.92-4.04), 150 MHz (5.23-5.38) and 1.29 GHz (6.52-7.81) at the resonant frequencies of 3.07 GHz, 3.97 GHz, 5.29 GHz, 6.73 GHz and 7.57 GHz respectively. The multi frequency bands are achieved by the introducing three unequal rectangular slots on the ground plane. The simulated results are demonstrated that, the proposed antenna offers good radiation pattern with multi frequency band.
