Abstract
Tears are typical injuries of the meniscus-a thin tissue located within the knee between the two leg bones. They are treated by minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. We propose how to achieve real-time visually realistic deformation of the meniscus by using linear co-rotational finite element method applied to the coarse mesh enriched with monitor points responsible for fine wrinkles simulation.
