Abstract :
Relay protection as the safe and stable operation grid´s first line bears an importantresponsibility of guaranteeing safe operation of power grid and equipment. In recent years, the relay protection technology is developing toward the computerized, networked, intelligent, protect, control, measurement and data communication. Relay protection is thebasic equipment of the power system, in order to guarantee the normal power supply ofpower system. So we need to maintain it professionally and effectively, and also handle itsfailure in time. On the basis of relay protection, the paper puts forward the concept, maintenance and management of relay protection, at the same time, proposes to the relayprotection device for maintenance and management measures of relay protection and faulthandling way, which provides a certain theoretical basis for the technology development ofrelay protection.
