Abstract
We analytically model an unreliable opportunistic spectrum sharing (OSS) system through a queueing theoretic framework. Both initiating secondary users and ongoing secondary users sense the channels and perform appropriate activities. The sensing errors from either initiating or ongoing secondary users cause false alarm and misdetection events, which may impose different types of call collision results (CCRs) on both types of users. We study the performance of the OSS system under multiple CCRs and provide numerical results for validation.
