Abstract :
We study bit-error-rate transients of optical protection switching in a two-fiber ring network with optical channel dedicated protection. The optical protection and add-drop multiplex is achieved with 2×1 and 1×1 wavelength selective switches and transient-gain controlled optical amplifiers
