Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have many applications nowadays, e.g. remote environment monitoring and target tracking. However, it also brings many security challenges, e.g. message confidentiality and authentication. In this paper, we introduce a new message authentication method for WSNs using polynomial interpolation. Compared with Merkle HashTree that is widely used in the literature, our method shares similar computation and communication complexity, but it is more versatile and its security does not rely on any computational assumption.
