Analysis of Line Loss Based on Matlab and Oracle Database

Line loss management is an effective measure for electric power company to reduce running cost. An electric power company has collected a large amount of marketing data in recent years with the construction of information acquisition system. From the data management and analysis point of view in this paper, combining Oracle database and Matlab to create partition of marketing data and then defining the reasonable line loss rate interval according to cluster analysis and regression analysis to find out the district whose line loss rate is not in the reasonable line loss rate interval as the abnormal district. The results prove that the abnormal district found out by this method mostly can reduce the line loss to the reasonable range.
