Abstract :
Intended for providing the security in the VANETS (Vehicular Ad hoc Network) scenario, the covert storage channel has been implemented through which data transmitted between the sender and the receiver. Covert channels are the logical link which be used for the communication purpose and hide the secure data from the intruders. This paper refers to the Establishment of bit selective mode covert storage channels in VANETS. In this scenario the data is being transmitting with two modes i.e. the normal mode and the covert mode. In normal mode the unimportant data sent and in the covert mode the secure data sent. During the communication between vehicles in this scenario, changing from one mode to another mode (i.e. from normal to covert and vice versa) completed with the help of controlling of bits which is further used to set the particular mode and this task has been done with the use of the optional bits of Internet Protocol version 6 Header Format. The implementation of this work has been fulfilled with the help of Network simulator (Version 2).
