Abstract :
Multi-pumped Raman fiber amplifiers can realize a broadband gain spectrum. We propose some rules to select pump-power and pump-wavelength to realize an optimal gain spectrum. Also considered are the energy transfer between pumps and signals and the effect of gain saturation on the gain spectrum
