Abstract :
A novel scheme that can simultaneously realize all-optical tunable wavelength conversion (W-C) and re-amplifying and re-shaping (2R) regeneration has been proposed. Preliminary experimental results indicate that all-optical tunable W-C and re-shaping can be obtained in the above scheme within the gain spectrum of the SOA employed. Further improvements in the output power are desirable
