Abstract
Mobile ad hoc network that called MANET is an infrastructure-less and self-configuring mobile network. These types of wireless networks do not have a common centralized infrastructure like other wireless networks and member nodes communicate with each other by common transmission radio channel. Therefore outside the common transmission radio channel, MANET nodes using other nodes as intermediaries. The main challenge in MANET is forcing the TDMA mac protocol to allocate time slots to network nodes for power consumption and delay reduction. in this paper we propose an adaptive and distributed TDMA scheduling protocol for MANET called AD-TDMA. This protocol causes energy saving by showing a good awake-sleep scheduling state for MANET network nodes. Also the TDMA scheduling schema is distributedly created for MANET. our proposed protocol have good performance against changing or modifying in network topology and AD-TDMA performance shows a significant reduction and improvement in energy saving and end-to-end data delivery delay in MANET nodes.
