Abstract
The recreation of vanished architectural environments must include precise simulation of illumination. Working on the reconstruction of Mesoamerican spaces and their visualization, we arrived at a stage in the project that necessitated investigation into natural lighting and the recreation of virtual environments created by various computer programs. In a previous study we compared Lightscape, Alias, RenderMan, and Blue Moon. The present work brings in the results obtained from Radiance, obtaining a visualization of solar illumination that predicts the physical work of the various components with great precision. User friendliness is reviewed, along with the product´s power to obtain an unsullied architectural visualization
