Abstract :
This paper demonstrates the load frequency control for the two area interconnected hydrothermal power system. The proposed control methodology consists of integral control arrangement in coordination with Redox Flow Battery (RFB) with Static Synchronous Series compensator (SSSC) in AC/DC link environment. Genetic Algorithm (GA) technique is used for optimization process for getting the optimum value of the integral controller. The result has been verified through simulation graphs obtained through proposed control arrangement for the studied system. The proposed controller ensures the better and improved dynamic performance of the interconnected power system.
