Abstract :
A country´s economic activity has a direct impact on the energy scenario of that country. The gap between the energy demand and the supply is continuously growing due to the increased dependency on the conventional energy sources which have limited resources. Continuous use of fossil fuels for generating energy has led to the effect of global warming. In India there is a huge scope for utilization of renewable energy resources due to its geographical location. Use of renewable energy resources reduces the effect of global warming and it also provides energy security since fossil fuels such as coal and crude oil are not abundantly available in India. The renewable energy sources are fluctuating in nature hence the hybridization is required to overcome the fluctuating nature to an extent. In this paper the dual input single output DC-DC converters are proposed for stand-alone systems. The converter is a combination of CUK and SEPIC converter called CUK-SEPIC fused converter.
