Abstract :
We show the system for measuring the mechanical characteristics of single cyanobacteria, and the results of mechanical characterization of Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. The system utilizes optical tweezers for transportation of the target cell to the measurement point, and a robot integrated microfluidic chip for applying one-directional deformation to a floating cell.
