Abstract
This paper presents the steady-state performance of a grid interactive voltage source inverter (VSI). The inverter is synchronized and connected to the grid through a link inductor performing an "in-line" uninterruptible power supply with load voltage stabilization. A chart showing the active-reactive (PQ) power flow between the inverter and grid has been developed. The chart is used to compute the link inductor value, so the system can operate in the specified grid voltage and input power factor range. Results from laboratory tests using a 15 kVA, 120 volts DC to 230 volts AC are also included.
