Abstract
Over the past several years, the trend has been that academics and industry develop a relationship that expands the engineering education. With focus on German industry, there a need of high level educated PLM Professionals at industry. This paper describes how university and industry solved together the challenge to develop a PLM Professional education at university in industry context to educate industry employee and in parallel to improve the engineering education at university of using industry best practices.
