  • Abstract
The spread of the sustainability concept in heterogeneous contexts of use doesn´t go together with a similar diffusion of operative instruments supporting the actual implementation of the sustainability paradigm in real manufacturing environments. The here presented SAM (Sustainability Assessment and advisory in Mould&die) platform perfectly fits a traditional product design process, thus enabling product designers and product managers, with limited knowledge on sustainability-related topics, to real-timely ponder the sustainability performances of both existing and under development products. The mould&die industry has been selected for this first deployment.
