Abstract :
Design and fabrication of a Dual input - Single output DC-DC converter topology is reported in this paper. Nowadays renewable energy sources are enormously utilized for electrification by the domestic consumers. These renewable energy sources require a proper power converter circuit for the integration with grid or to operate in the off grid. Single Input - Single Output (SISO) converters are used in the conventional system for the integration of the renewable energy sources. However, due to the intermittent nature of the renewable energy source, SISO converter provides unreliable power supply to the load and also requires an individual control system which is not a cost effective solution. This paper describes about the design and operation of the Dual input - Single output isolated DC-DC converter. Simulation and hardware result of the DC-DC converter is also presented in this paper.
