Abstract :
This paper presents parallel particle swarm optimization (PSO) on Many-Integrated-Cores (MIC) architecture platforms and investigate how to utilize many cores of MIC platforms efficiently. Experimental results show the relation between searching performance and search strategies in the parallel PSO. We confirm that the balance between the width and depth in search strategies is essential for efficient searching.
