Abstract :
This paper presents a vision-based user interface of a mobile robotic arm for people with severe disabilities. The main body of the robotic arm that can be contained in a laptop computer´s briefcase is only 5 kg. The user interface using eye movements consists of a web camera, computer, and display unit. We also made a control box to detect user´s eye movements. From the experimental results, it is clear that the proposed user interface promises to support to select one of foods on a table.
